... on the beautiful lake Ammersee, south of Munich, together with my husband John and an English springer spaniel named Winston. We have three amazing children who are grown up and have their own partners and lives.
... a passion of mine, mainly English-language literature, I have been in a multicultural book group of 15 women for many years.
being on the road and meeting new people and then also arriving back home.
... discovered my passion for riding, quite late - only a few years ago. My husband John gave me ten riding lessons for my birthday and since then I have been passionately at this and really enjoying this hobby.
through the Oskar von Miller Forum (→ Projects), I realized again how much I enjoy working with young people. It gives me great pleasure to support them in discovering their own strengths and help their entry into the working world.
In retrospect you can see
the red thread ...
From the very beginning, my professional career has been shaped by my passion for people and other cultures. After my school years in Munich, I moved to Boston, USA, to study international relations. During and after that I worked for a few years in an agency for intercultural learning, publishing and travel for American students. After my bachelor’s degree, I moved to Paris full of curiosity & energy and worked there for three years for The Reader's Digest as an editor in an international team of journalists. It was here that I really discovered my interest in the topic of leadership and international cooperation.
To further deepen my knowledge in this area, I then completed a two-year training as a consultant and management trainer with The Coverdale Organization in England. The work was so diverse and fulfilling that I stayed with Coverdale for the next 20 years in various positions in England, the USA and Germany. I was eventually appointed to the management team in the German organization and looked after HR and internal training for new young consultants.
My focus was always on leadership and cooperation. The psychological side of how people develop and grow has interested me more and more over the years. It became increasingly clear to me that sustainable change can only take place if the different parts of the personality of an individual are also included into the learning process. That's why I completed a coaching training in 2004, which lasted several years and focused especially on personality development.
In 2006, I founded my own business and have been working as a self-employed trainer, consultant & coach together with my husband John and other partners. We are currently working for large international organizations, medium-sized companies as well as small businesses. The scope of my work today ranges from large international leadership training programs to conducting intercultural workshops with students and working for Bavarian ministries. It is always diverse and the wealth of different experiences and people I meet really inspire me in my work.
